Position Details
Volunteer for Programs Serving Adults with Disabilities
- Prepare and set up materials for games, crafts, and activities, including cutting, pasting, and portioning supplies.
- Move tables and chairs as directed, clean up leftover materials, and wipe down tables after activities.
- Guide attendees to and within the programming area as needed.
- Participate in activities to facilitate engagement and socialization for attendees.
- Gather attendee feedback, and share with the programmer.
Accessible Resources and Services Intern/ Volunteer (Customer Service)
- Prepare mail cards, assemble bags for new customers, update catalog records, and delete titles from the system.
- Contact new customers, assist with yearly account activity checks, and provide reader advisory by placing holds.
- Create engaging, timely content for newsletters and email updates.
- Familiarity with various technology, customer service, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with two (2) years of applicable experience.
Accessible Resources and Services Intern/ Volunteer (Clerical)
- Assist with Digital Talking Book Machine maintenance and upkeep.
- Print Braille documents (no experience using Braille required) for customers.
- Label and organize digital book cartridges and cases for efficient use.
- Format Large Print and Descriptive DVD lists for customers.
- Ability to follow directions, read and write English, use basic technology, and physically lift, stoop, and stretch to handle materials weighing 1-20 lbs. each.
Technology Services Volunteer
- Ages 18 and up.
- Provide basic technology maintenance, device charging, updates and testing.
- Assemble information packets and kits.
- Assist library staff with data entry, inventory, organization and special projects.

- Be a member of the art selection committee and attend Meet the Artist events.

- Knowledge of and interest in people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
