Read Local Author Festival
Meet Local Authors. Discover New Books. Celebrate Creativity.
Explore Virginia Beach’s vibrant literary scene! Meet local authors from a variety of genres — fiction, nonfiction, poetry, history, children’s literature and more. Hear about their work, browse books and purchase signed copies.
Enjoy a book‑themed craft and a mini‑workshop on finding your next great read. Support local talent and discover stories being created right here in our community. No registration required.
The author submission deadline for Read Local has passed, and we are no longer accepting additional authors for this program. Information for future author events will be posted on the library’s website and shared through our social media accounts.
