Hertford Randall

Hertford Randall comes into the Central Library several times every week to work on his ideas and pen more quotes for his new business venture called "More Than Quotes Empire."

Randall read self-help books for seven years before he went to his job each day. With a positive attitude, he overcame challenges in his life to write a book called "More Than Enough." The book is a collection of his original inspiring quotes which Randall hopes will encourage others. Quotes like "To have goals greater than yourself is to believe in something greater than yourself."

When library staff learned that Randall had written a book and published it in 2019, they invited him to submit a copy for consideration for the Local Author Collection at Central Library. Randall donated a copy and it was added to the collection. When library staff showed him his book listed in the Virginia Beach Public Library catalog and where to find it on the shelf with other books by local authors, he was very excited.

Randall said, "The library is like family. This place is like a goldmine!"
